Camp Discover

Designed for campers with intellectual and developmental disabilities who benefit from extensive or pervasive support, Camp Discover provides campers full access to all activities with appropriate modifications that are in place throughout camp. Camp Discover staff support campers with ADLs (activities of daily living) as needed and runs as 2-week sessions for the first 8 weeks, the last week of camp runs as a 1-week session.

Campers of Camp Discover benefit from modifications to help them fully access every camp activity. Camp Discover campers may have multiple disabilities and may need support with feeding, toileting, and other daily activities.

Camp Discover staff receives specific training in developing modifications for recreational activities, effective communication strategies, and supporting campers’ with ADLs.

Camp Discover offers 2-week sessions during our nine-week summer, at a cost of $990 per session. The last 1-week session is $495. We encourage campers to attend multiple sessions, as doing do provides your child increased consistency in his/her environment, peer and staff interactions, and depth of experience with leisure activities.
