Camp Summit

Designed for campers who struggle with behavioral control and benefit from significant behavioral supports and structures, Camp Summit provides an environment focused on success using a behavioral level system for the whole camp and individualized behavior plans as appropriate.  Camp Summit offers two 2-week sessions and one 3-week session.

Campers exhibit challenging behaviors and generally function at or near grade level.  Common diagnoses of Camp Summit campers include ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Intermittent Explosive Disorder, and Bipolar Disorder.  Many Camp Summit campers also have Autism Spectrum Disorders or Asperger’s Syndrome.  At Camp Summit, we focus on positive behavioral supports, as many campers have struggled in previous placements.

Camp Summit staff receives specialized training in non-violent crisis intervention, positive behavioral supports, sensory integration, and the use of behavioral support plans including the camp-wide level system.

Camp Summit offers two 2-week sessions and one 3-week session. Two-week sessions cost $1150 and are offered  June 27-July 8 and again July 18 - July 29.  The Summit Session is a more intensive three-week session, offered from August 8 - August 26 at a cost of $1725.

We encourage campers to attend multiple sessions, as doing so provides your child increased consistency in his/her environment, peer and staff interactions, and depth of experience with leisure activities.
