Horse Camp

Designed for campers aged 8 and older who love horses, Horse Camp offers riding center activities every morning, including one mounted riding lesson each day.  In the afternoons, campers will participate in a variety of camp activities.  We offer six 1-week sessions of Horse Camp during the summer.

Campers are 8 or older and have some prior experience being around and/or riding horses, and want to spend significant camp time around the riding center.  Every morning, Horse Camp campers have a riding lesson and an un-mounted animal activity around horses.  (Carriage driving may be substituted for riding.)  Each group of campers is supported by a certified riding instructor and by one or more counselors during riding center activities from 9am-12pm daily.  The counselor(s) continue to lead the group as they join the rest of camp from 12-3pm daily for activities such as Swimming, Art, Music, and more.

Six weeklong sessions of Horse Camp are offered, during the weeks beginning July 5, July 11, July 18, July 25, August 15 and August 22, at a cost of $600/week.  We encourage campers to attend multiple sessions, as doing so provides your child increased consistency in his/her environment, peer and staff interactions, and depth of experience with leisure activities.
