Hi! I’m Babe. I came to The Bridge Center to be Friends with Banner. He is a great friend. Being brushed is so nice. I don’t mind have a bunch of kids hanging out around me and learning to brush. I do a few tricks, so I guess you could call me a trick pony, as I am also a Shetland Pony. If you stop by, you can ask Judy, my mom, if she can show you my tricks. I love to greet everyone. Please come on by. In the picture, Babe is on the left and Banner is on the right |

They call me Banner, but I think Napoleon might have fit me just as well. I am the resident Miniature Horse at The Bridge Center and although I’m too small to be ridden, I love teaching our students therapeutic driving. I also enjoy greeting everyone at The Bridge Center. I’m the biggest believer that great things come in small packages and I’m determined to let everybody know about it! My birthday is April 23, 1993 |

Hello my name is Casey. I am a 13 hand Welsh Pony. I have been at The Bridge Center the longest. I was donated to the program in late 1998 by a great family that lived in New Hampshire. Jumping was my passion before learning about therapeutic riding. I love giving riding lessons to our smaller students, as long as they don’t wiggle too much. I am an expert on keeping my riders safe. I enjoy teaching everyone how to lead a horse, even my students that use walkers and wheelchairs. Participating in the horse shows is also a lot of fun. I do love to show off and help my riders win blue ribbons. You will most often see me in the ring doing Hippotherapy. The therapists love me because I am short and have a broad back. I hope to see you in the ring! My birthday is July 1, 1989 |

Colin here. I’m one of the biggest horses at The Bridge Center. Before coming to work here, I was a trail riding maniac. My owner and I would go on long trail rides all over the place! Now I am enjoying giving riding lessons to students of all abilities. My size doesn’t scare many of my students because I keep my head pretty low and it doesn’t make me look as tall. I am an Appaloosa/ Belgium cross. My Appaloosa side is where I get all of my spots from and my Belgium side is where I get my big feet and long, thick flowing tail. I do have some problems seeing, so make sure that you always talk to me when you are approaching me. It really helps me to know when someone is coming up to say hi or switching sides when brushing me. I really am very gentle and caring about my riders. I just like to move slow and steady. I look forward to meeting you. My birthday is August 13, 1993 |

Colonel Honey is the name, but you can call me Colonel. I am sweet like honey but strong like a Colonel. I just started at The Bridge Center in March of 2010. I was born in Arkansas and have made my way across the country to The Bridge Center. The last place I lived before the Bridge Center was with a very sweet young lady in Norton, Ma.. She took very good care of me and my friend Jelly Bean, a miniature donkey. She was going away to college and could not take me with her. I really wanted to have a job again where I would get lots of attention and exercise. Well, little did I know that I came in just in time to help with summer camp. It was very busy around here but I loved it. There were lots of people to brush me and ride me. I had so much fun. I have settled right into my job. I have also made a new friend with Finn. I let him be the boss and we get along great. I am excited to make more new friends. My Birthday is April 1, 1991 |

Hi everyone, my name is Corina and pulling is my game! I love to pull things. I know it is best when I pull the carriage but sometimes I pull the volunteers to the grass because it is just so delicious. I was brought to The Bridge Center to help Banner with the driving program and to be another great pony in the riding program. I’m one of the younger equines here at The Bridge Center, and my boisterous level of energy keeps me spunky and ready for anything! Many people think that I am very fat, but I am actually just built really wide... I am a Haflinger Pony, which is a small draft horse breed. Come take a driving or riding lesson with me! My birthday is April 3, 1999 |

Hello there! People call me Finn, and I am proud to be a Morgan! I’m a feisty redhead with an eternally optimistic view of life. I carry my head and tail high because I love what I do here at The Bridge Center. The most non-horsey people imaginable can’t help but fall in love with my quiet and happy presence, and if I had the opportunity, I would be the first to say hello to every visitor at the riding center. I’m so happy to be a member of The Bridge Center team! My birthday is February 22, 1992 |

Good Day, my servants call me Gypsy. I believe that life is about spending days taking naps in the sun and eating hay. Occasionally I am called upon to give a lesson. I feel that I am very good at teaching students how to ride. My favorites are the little ones. They are just so cute. As long as everyone is instructed on to brush me properly and I am served an apple or any treat at the end of the ride, everyone can have a great day. I also enjoy an occasional good workout from my staff. Incase you haven’t heard, my nickname is “The Princess.” Please feel free to schedule a time with my staff to visit me. My birthday is May 11, 1994 |

As a Quarter Horse at The Bridge Center, I’d just like to take a minute to introduce myself. I go by the name of Jugsy, and after many years of participatin’ and showin’ as a Western Pleasure horse, I’m glad to share some of my experience with all of the young ‘uns of Handi Kids. Like most of us cowboy-types, I like to take it easy. I can take any rider through walk, jog, and canter without a misstep, and for that, I believe I’m worth a million buckaroos. At 26 years old, I am looking forward to a full retirement soon. If you know of a place that might look good for a full retirement for me, please let my barn manager know about it. Thanks and I hope to see you around the barn soon. My birthday is February 15, 1985 |

Hey there, it’s Magic! I am from the island of Assateague in Virginia. There is a wild group of ponies there. I was born on the island, in the wild and then swam across a small channel, where they have a big celebration. During the celebration they auction off the foals. All of the money raised goes to support the volunteer fire department and it also helps to keep the herd at a manageable size for the island. Eventually I ended up with a really nice girl in Littleton, Ma. She trained me to do dressage. So enough about my past, working at The Bridge Center is great. I really enjoy doing the Hippotherapy lessons and helping my students to learn to ride. Well, I look forward to seeing you around the barn! My birthday is July 25, 1995 |

My name is Possum, and I am known to the pony world as a Pony of the Americas, or in short, a POA. On a sunny day, you can find me in my paddock stretched out for an afternoon nap. I take things a bit slower than some of the other horses, but that’s simply because I live by the philosophy that one must take their time to do something well. I love my job here at The Bridge Center, and I’m proud to be the go-to pony for many of our riders. My birthday is Sept. 16, 1990 |

Hi! Roxy is the name. I love to teach kids how to ride. I have a very smooth trot, even though I am a Haflinger pony. I think the only way to describe my personality is bubbly, and the word on the street is that I’m cute as a button! I love to “smile” on command for treats, and there is nothing better than being the center of attention. I like to hang out all day with my friend Corina. And a little bit about my past, I came from a farm in Easton. I used to give lessons there and one day they were downsizing and thought I would make a great therapeutic riding horse. They were right. I love my new job. I can’t wait to meet you! Come by soon! My birthday is December 16,1997 |

They call me Bashful, and it seems to be the perfect name. I’m the gray and white senior cat-in-residence, and I’ve been happy at The Bridge Center for a few years now. My favorite spot in the barn is the Volunteer Coordinator’s office where I have made myself a permanent fixture on the desk. I have a calm and wise approach to life, but I have been known to keep the other cats in line. Nothing brightens my day more than a warm lap to curl up on and a comfortable place to siesta. My Birthday is March 3, 2000 |

I’m the youngest member of The Bridge Center crew. I go by the name of Cleo, and I am the small black cat with a big voice. I may be small but I’m no kitten. I make sure that The Bridge Center is free of anything that might be disruptive, and out of the three of us, I think I take my job as a barn cat most seriously. My favorite place is on one of my human’s shoulders, perched for a good petting. My birthday is July 23, 2007 |

Just like the orange kitty in the movie Milo and Otis, the name is Milo. I’m the ball of flaming fur bounding around the property of The Bridge Center. Some might describe me as a troublemaker, but I simply have an insatiable curiosity for anything and everything in my environment. I fear nothing, and play with everything. The Bridge Center is my perfect playground to let out all of my energy, and of course, the many blankets and offices make the perfect place for a long, cozy nap. My Birthday is April 22, 2006 |

Cookie’s the name, and I run this barn. I’m a Vietnamese pot-bellied pig, and I tend to be the resident big boss hog around here. If you haven’t noticed, I’m the only animal allowed free reign of the facilities, and I run them well. I always make sure to clean up every apple under the apple tree when it’s in season, and if the feed room is left open, I don’t mind helping out with any leftovers I can find. I wouldn’t say I’m one for overt affection, I prefer making my own way, but it seems that as long as people let me do my job, well, then I have no problem letting them do theirs. I made some new friends this pass summer and I look forward to making many more. My birthday is 9/18/00 |
